Filling the emptiness we all have
As a Biblical Life Coach, I am blessed to talk to many women. We talk about their many life roles such as wife, mother, daughter, employee, student, grandmother, etc. We work together to define their core values. We discover their gifts, strengths and passions. Together we vision cast for their future, asking God to give guidance and hope.
The one thing I, as a Life Coach, cannot do is to fill the emptiness found in each of us. I can help you find your role, your gifts, cast your vision. Together we can celebrate your success, recognition, achievement of your goals and even know your purpose. And yet, you can still be empty.
Recently a beautiful, put-together woman told me that nothing fills the emptiness as she pointed to her gut. I could tell that it hurt in ways that she hadn’t even mentioned. Her words brought to mind this verse which I shared with her…
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
The eternity set in our heart is placed there by God to be filled by God.
I assured her that ONLY God could fill that emptiness inside of her. He is the one who put that emptiness there. It can only be filled with a life surrendered to Him. A life released to Him, doing what He created you to do, fulfilling His purposes will begin to fill that empty spot. Although, it seems contrary to what we think we should do (work harder, buy more things, accomplish more titles) it is a good place to begin – seeking and surrendering to Him.
Do you find an emptiness in you that can’t be filled? I would honored to talk with you about that (fill out the contact me information). Together, we will search for what it means to have eternity set in your heart.
“But if you give up your life for My sake, you will save it.” Luke 9:34

I am a humble receiver of the saving grace that Christ provided to me through his death and resurrection. My calling is as a wife to Bill, my husband of 34 years, a mother to 3 gifted daughters & 3 fine son-in-laws, and Grammie to my very sweet grandchildren. I love living in our community, spending time with people from all walks of life (I honestly can talk to anyone about anything) , studying and discussing God’s Word and always being with my family. Life and relationships are a gift that I treasure everyday.
