In 2015, may I be reminded that I am Blessed by the Grace of God.

I have been reading with great interest in people’s word/goal/resolutions for the New Year.  In the past, I have been right there with you, picking a scripture for the year and focusing and planning on that given theme (as a matter of fact – my posts on scripture for a new year have been some of my most read blog posts). To be honest with you, I have found myself struggling with a lack of clarity for what I want my year…

Mary and Martha brought up to date in Kansas City

Mary and Martha’s National Conference happened a week ago and I am still whirling in the memories of my time with my team, home office staff and dear friends in this company.  Our theme was Embrace Your Place,  a perfect reminder of serving where God has called us   My description of  a Mary & Martha Conference is that it is a Christian Women’s Conference, a Business Conference and  retreat with  friends.  I was blessed to have 21 members (and 4 leaders) of my team…

My Experience at MOPS Conference Reminds Me of…..

This past weekend, I was at the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International Convention in Kansas City.  I was with one of my  Team Leaders hosting the Mary & Martha booth.  It was such a good time for several reasons…. I love working alongside with my Mary & Martha team and developing Leaders.  Stephanie Kaufman has been a Consultant for 18 months and is now a Team Leader.  She loves the Lord, her husband, family and serves as a labor & delivery…

The Girls – Mary & Martha – Living in the &

I must admit that I have always longed for a sister of my own, someone who would know the unique ways that God created me and who had experienced many of my life stages with me.    After raising 3 daughters, who have revealed to me the intimate relationship of sisters, this relationship of having a sister looks even more desirable.  I love to be around my girls and observe their interaction with each other.  And since Blessings Unlimited changed…

Scriptures on our Walls, Floors and Homes….

I have a friend who is building a new home and she went through and wrote a scripture on their sub-floors; these scriptures were picked specifically for the use of the room or  for each person who will use that room.  She took photos of the scriptures on the rough floors and is now framing each of those verses to hang in that room.  Her new home is going to be protected and surrounded by God’s wisdom and truth –…

God saves each of our tears in a Bottle….

One of our new Blessings Unlimited products that has ministered to me (and many others) is our Tears in a Bottle.  This message of this product is based on the verse from Psalm 56:8 “You keep track of my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.” NLT.  I remember when I first came across this verse, I was so touched that my tears are precious to God and thankful that…

I AM …. Called

The last weeks have taken me several places – Blessings Unlimited National Conference, Summer Jam, in Northwest Arkansas and  MOPS Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, and then always back to our homey home.  I have been blessed to see so many wonderful friends at both events and it is a gift to be able to pick up a relationship over a meal, a conversation or time in prayer.   The Lord has blessed me with so many friends across His land…

Do the Next Thing

Lately, my days have been so full – full of family, friends and Blessings – I’ve had little time to write on my blog.  In the past weeks I have cared for my grandson while my daughter  finished her Master’s degree ( may I say that a 13 month old little boy can be very, very busy).  We hosted a fun movie night in our back yard for our Sunday School class.  I  froze 30 pounds of fresh cherries (although…

There is more than one way to look at failure

Several weeks ago, Bill and I visited Appomattox, VA which is where General Lee surrendered the confederate efforts in the civil war.  I was quite interested in one story that we read about – the story of General Lee’s ride back after he signed the surrender papers, ending the war.  Here is how http://www.manythings.org/voa/history/115.html described General Lee’s ride …  Image from http://www.nps.gov/history/history/online_books/civil_war_series/6/sec6.htm “Lee got on his horse and rode slowly back to his army.  As he entered Confederate lines, men…

A Week of Thankfulness

On today, Black Friday, I am thankful that ever since our first daughter was born, I have (for the most part), been able to work at home.  Some of those jobs have been working for others; most have been various ways to be self-employed.  Although I have not always made money, I have enjoyed the benefits of being able to be at home with my family and being able to be involved with my church and women.  I am so thankful that…
