Biblical Questions I ask as a Biblical Life Coach

After coaching numerous women over the last year, there are 3 questions that are always part of my thinking (and usually part of our conversation).  Where are you? In Genesis 3:9, God asks Adam & Eve where they are – even though He already knows where they are hiding,  I ask this question to help you discern where you are emotionally, spiritually and physically. What are you doing here? In 1 Kings 19:9 God asks Elijah “What are you doing…

When God changes my plans

After a delightful few days in the sunshine with a dear college friend, I was ready to be home, see familiar sights and sleep in my own bed.  My friend dropped me off to the airport and headed to her home several hours away.  I walked into the airport ready for 2 easy, quick flights to home.  AND THEN my plans changed. My original flight was delayed, but there was still time to make my connection to Pittsburgh.  I sat…

Your 2017 Word of the Year Workshops

I have been in my “sweet spot”  to facilitate several Discover Your 2017 Word and Scripture Workshop.  During these workshop, participants choose 1 word and a scripture/phrase for 2017 that will represent what God is fulfilling in their life, what He has purposed them to do and where He has called them to serve.   Included in this workshop was a creative activity that Beth of BeiterDesign.  She help each one create a visual reminder of their word and scripture that would remind…

Assurance ~ My 2017 Word

I remember singing Blessed Assurance – Jesus is Mine as a little girl in the little county church my family attended.  I had such assurance that I was safe, loved and all was secure in my little world. Now, in my 5th decade of life, assurance does not come as easy as it did in my childhood.  The world rumbles uneasy as I have never before experienced, friends question their circumstances and there are fears I continue to face.  I…

A Rebecca Mail Give Away

Earlier this year, I was blessed to walk alongside Rebecca as she worked through a career change.  Together we looked at her personality gifts, core values and God’s calling on her life.  I asked her the big life coaching question, “If there were no obstacles in your life, what would you want your life to look like a year from now.” Rebecca didn’t hesitate to answer.  She responded immediately that she would love to have a subscription service where she…

When you don’t know what to do

There are times in our lives where we simply don’t know what to do.   We seek the answer by what we know to do – for me this means searching scripture, praying, asking others and trusting our “gut feeling” – and still have no clear direction of what to do.  It is a frustrating place to be and when you find yourself in this position, there are no clear answers. When I find myself in the place where I…

Joseph's success

Defining Success – Joseph’s story

We love successful people – we love their passion, their stories of how they never gave up and pushed through many obstacles to achieve their success.  Typically, when we see successful people it is when they have made it; they are wearing the medal or the crown or the title!  We wish that we were as successful as them. A devotion I did a few years back, has been swirling around in my mind again lately.  It is about Joseph,…

Pouring In to Pour Out

This seems to be a statement that I say often as I coach – “You can’t continue to pour out, if you have nothing pouring into you.” Are you feeling empty, like all you do is to pour out for others?  Then Life Coaching is a great tool to pour into yourself so you have more to give others. Your first coaching session is free – so pour into yourself for a change and have more to pour into others….
