Biblical Questions I ask as a Biblical Life Coach

After coaching numerous women over the last year, there are 3 questions that are always part of my thinking (and usually part of our conversation).  Where are you? In Genesis 3:9, God asks Adam & Eve where they are – even though He already knows where they are hiding,  I ask this question to help you discern where you are emotionally, spiritually and physically. What are you doing here? In 1 Kings 19:9 God asks Elijah “What are you doing…

Legacy – what we will leave behind

This morning, I told my husband again that I missed my parents.  I miss their presence in my life, the ease of our conversations, the interest they had in me and the fact that they knew me first. Their legacy in my life goes far beyond money, it is rooted on relationships.  Their relationship with each other, with me, my family and most importantly their relationship with our Heavenly Father. I have been pondering the concept of legacy since our…

God values the waiting times in our lives

What are you waiting for right now? Most of us are waiting for something to happen or for someone to do something.  Waiting is hard, especially the longer it goes on. God truly values the waiting times in our lives.  Scripture is full of people who had to wait on God… Ruth had to wait even after she had left her county, gleaned in the field, laid at Boaz’s feet and asked Him to take care of her (and her…

Time Eases All Things ~ 35 years of marriage

On top of our bedroom dresser sit numerous frames with photos of our beloved family.  There is a large framed image from a Mary Engelbreit calendar that was framed by our middle daughter as a gift for a prior anniversary.  It is an image of an older couple swinging on a porch swing as they look at old photos.  The Sophocles’ quote “Time eases all things” is printed on the image. My husband and I celebrated 35 years of marriage on September…

Your current Season – Embrace it

In chatting with a sweet (much younger than I am) mama in church last week – I shared with her this recognizable memory from my days as a young mama. On a rainy morning 20+ years ago, I was dropping my older 2 girls off at school and was headed home to spend the day with my preschooler in our home (which at the time was a new double-wide trailer in the country that did not feel like home).  After…

Who is my real enemy?

In the past weeks, I have found myself dealing with “life stuff.”  Life seems like it is  going along fairly well, then I find that I am overwhelmed with living with a chronic illness, or sad at relationships that need to be healed or longing to be with my parents again. If I am not careful, I can find myself discouraged very quickly. I felt those familiar waves of discouragement come across my mind recently and had to remind myself…

Adjusting to the Change…

Yes, it has been several weeks since my last post and  much  has been happening since then.  Typing with one hand, especially when it is not the hand God created me to use, is a challenge.  Once I am done each day with my email correspondence, Blessings Unlimited Business, ministry commitments and family relationships — time to write on my blog has not happened.  I find that everything I do is such an effort with only one hand, God’s design…

The Seasons of a Woman's Life

I know that my blog has been a little quiet lately and I am okay with that.  Sometimes, God has me in the quiet places so He can speak truth into my life.   Recently the Lord woke me up so I could listen to His message for me. I continue to work with the DaySpring’s Blessings Unlimited Products – asking God to reveal to me how to teach His truths through these beautiful, inspiring products.  Recently, I woke up in the…
