My blog has been quiet for a few days … there is much on my mind and on my plate these days. Lots of hurting people who need a few minutes to share their wounds, 3 wonderful daughters who I am privileged to spend time with on the phone and in person, a great husband who I need as much as he needs me and of course there are the ministries and business that God has called me to.
There are lots of blog topics floating around in my head..
- The books I have read and enjoyed the past month
- Answering a question that was asked of me about daughters and purity
- Reminding all of us that our husbands are just men
- Something I really don’t like about being an empty nester in church
- and the list goes on…
So many thoughts going through my mind, yet for some reason, my blog is quiet. Every marketing article I read states that you must write on your blog at least 4 times a week to have a growing thriving blog and that is good advice. But the voice of God tells me to focus on others and He will take care of the growth He desires for my blog (which is ultimately His anyway). I will listen to the voice of God.
Quietness is good – I don’t always have to share my thoughts. Perhaps instead of reading my blog, you could spend a few extra minutes in God’s Word and that is where I hope I am as well. What you read there will fill you much more than my words could attempt to.
One of the people I have spent a day with is my daughter Alycia. We had her wedding flowers preserved (we did the same for Laryssa) and we picked them up on Monday. They were so beautiful and she was so pleased (she absolutely loves flowers). It was wonderful to spend some time with her…
This will now be a beautiful reminder of Jason and Alycia’s wedding. Another way to Recognize and Remember the special day we celebrated just 6 months ago.
I will be back writing as I am lead. Until then be blessed…
